1. The Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) will hold a seminar on “sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the Republic of Korea’s development cooperation” at the KNDA on November 23.
2. Since the adoption of the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development in September 2015, the ROK has been seeking to include SDGs in its development cooperation agenda and to contribute to the UN efforts to implement the SDGs. The seminar has been organized to gather opinions from experts in the academia and other relevant sectors in this regard and to seek ways to that end.
3. IFANS of the KNDA will analyze in depth the opinions on development cooperation activities to be gathered at the forthcoming seminar and, as a leading think tank at home, will seek more active participation of the private sector and civil society; and thereby contribute continuously to efforts to implement the SDGs and to improve development effectiveness.
