1. The Republic of Korea and Taiwan agreed to extend the period of a visa-free stay for each other’s nationals from the previous 30 days to 90, effective from July 1.
* The ROK and Taiwan had allowed each other’s nationals to stay in the countries for a maximum of 30 days, effective from January 25, 2003.
2. The latest agreement will facilitate a visa-free stay for up to 90 days in Taiwan for ROK nationals, thereby further enhancing the convenience for the ROK’s prospective visitors to Taiwan.
